Richard, Kahlan, and Zedd

Synopsis: This is a really lazy episode. I mean it wasn't bad for a clip show episode but why did they feel it necessary to do that. It is only halfway into the first season. Instead of being a best of, the producers had to resort to drawing from almost every episode.

Anna talks to Richard Cypher

How trashy was Anna? What exactly was her profession? Also will we get more future appearances by her in all her trashy goodness?

It was pretty great to see how awkward the ending conversation was. Zedd quickly walking away from Richard and Kahlan as they talk about what brought him out of the spell was pretty hilarious. Did you notice how at the end he waits for them to catch up to him?

Richard and Kahlan Romance Index: 8 out of 10.

Richard and Kahlan

While Richard is in the spell Kahlan says that she loves him. He tells her that the reason that he was able to snap out of the spell is because he could feel her love for him. I mean it doesn't get much romantic than that. Well it does but it's not allowed to for these two.

Zedd's Darken Rahl's Creepiness Factor: So Zedd didn't do anything overtly creepy this week. In a special presentation for this week we try to measure the creepiness of Darken Rahl.

Darken Rahl being creepy

7 out of 10. How into being Anna was Darken Rahl? Him walking around in the trademark vest trying to seduce Richard into telling him his secrets. Not as overtly creepy as what Zedd is usually up to but creepy nonetheless. Like the guy at the bar standing against the wall drinking water watching everyone with a creepy smile on his face. You just know he has a skin suit at home that he made out of young girls.

Notable Quotes:

Richard: "I felt rage, anger like I never felt before. I was the bringer of death."

Kahlan: "This is the truth. I love you Richard."

Kahlan: "You are the seeker. Whatever lies they are telling you, use your inner power. The power to see the truth."

Kahlan: "What brought you out of it?"
Richard: "As real as it all was in every way, nothing in my life has been more real than you."

Editor's Note: Have your own favorite quote from the episode? Did we forget to mention your favorite moment and now you're angry? Leave it in the comments and we'll update with the best of.

Gross. I can't believe Richard made out with Darken Rahl.

I was disappointed in the closing scene when Richard tells Kahlan why he came out of it. I know the actors are quite capable of more; so why did it come off so awkward & weird, and not done right? I'm thinking: Badly directed ??? (Or just written that way-?) Is it just me?
